There is no possible way to fully express my gratitude and love for the families who in their time of loss, donated the organs, tissue, and other body parts of their cherished loved one to save or enhance the lives of others. I received a heart transplant in July 2005 from Danielle Martinez, a beautiful mom to Armando, sister to three brothers, and cherished "princess" to her mom. In May 2011, I received a pancreas transplant from Jocelyn Roberts, a 13 year old selfless young woman who gave up her life trying to save her cousin from a drunk driver.

How do you comprehend the beauty that comes from the pain of loss for these families. Below are documents, videos, and information on both these MIRACULOUS stories.

And More Miracles:
These are random miracles I remember from the past years of my battled with heart disease, cancer, and medical trials. They are not listed chronologically--instead, they are added as I recall all the times God met me right where I was at.

March 2011: When my husband, John, and I were calculating the cost of me living in downtown Chicago to wait for a pancreas transplant donor, the basic cost with minimum living expenses would be at least $3,000.00 for three months. We talked about how to finance the waiting time and after care once I hopefully received a pancreas from a donor.

The very next day, a letter arrived in the mail from a friend in Atlanta, Georgia. We were living in Spokane, Washington, across the country. He had put the letter in the mail five days earlier. Iniside was a note of prayer and a check for $3,000.00. Exactly what we figured we'd need only the very night before. We didn't even pray for God to send us the money. But God stirred the compassionate and giving heart of this man who had no idea what our needs were.

Many more to come!
